KALEIDOSCOPE
Kaleidoscope is our annual end-of-season Fundraiser where we celebrate the love of dance and choreography!
Kaleidoscope began in the spring of 2001 as a one-time modest fundraiser and as a unique opportunity for company dancers to create and perform in work that is generally not accommodated by the strictures of our other season productions and that provides space for the multi-dimensional passions of our dancers that gave Prism its name.
The event has since become a tradition of its own, with a history of beloved pieces to which we intermittently return and a range of choreography by company members, apprentices, and occasional others that far exceeds its original ambitions. It is Prism’s celebration of its rare assembly of dancers, staff, and crew and its very survival — 40 years and counting! — in the mercurial post-pandemic world of arts organizations. It has also emerged as the company’s major fundraising event of the year, providing much-needed and most appreciated support for our productions and our Concord studio home.
